Eat all you can for RM2.00 (USD0.70), but bring your MyKad

A RESTAURANT in Shah Alam is offering customers all they can eat for just RM2. And all they have to do is show your MyKad to the workers.

The Malaysia Negaraku restaurant, located at Jalan Plumbum, AA/7 Commercial Centre, Section 7, Shah Alam, offers white rice with four side dishes and plain water at RM2, reported Sinar Harian.

Customers are also required to self-serve and wash their own plates after eating, it said.

The newspaper quoted restaurant owner Datuk Zainal Abidin Awang Kechil as saying that the offer was for people like students or factory workers who couldn’t afford to spend much on food.

He said take-away was allowed, provided the customers brought their own containers.

Zainal Abidin, who has 20 years experience in the food business and operates five seven-star restaurants overseas, told the paper he wanted to run a restaurant for the community.

The business is also not profit-oriented, he added.
